In this session, the party looks into a PROTECT intelligence base in the Deforest system. When they arrive, they come across a Monlith gunship firing on the base, having arrived shortly before them. They engage with Cass' ship, the Celestial Wind, and the monoliths withdrawal. Their sensors tell them it's the same ship that waylaid Al back on Ma-Tourel.
Cass and Al give chase, while Major Luke Princeton and Pron Gatar take a shuttle to check out the station. There, they restore power and Luke, finally back at home in the Massert NoSve Alliance, calls to report in to his superiors in The Council. Meanwhile, Al and Cass shoot down the Monolith gunship and investigate its crash site on Deforest Six. They find a Monolith memory core and a book rapidly decaying in the harsh environment. More importantly, Al recovers the information stolen by The Scarred, Silver Monolith and recovers some of that monlith's remains. The harsh wind of Deforest Six picks up as they return to the Celestial Wind, and make their way to the station.
They plug The Voice of the Deep into the station. It ruefully tells them that there are no active probes from which it can gather information, but it has the specifications on how to build one. The team then splits, with Al and Cass arranging a meet with Al's contacts on the inhabited planet of Deforest Three and Luke and Pron traveling to Siddar Station, to gain the support of one of the Massert NoSve ruling bodies.
Al and Cass are approached by an agent working for the Slemmgraise. She explains that the information he holds is the genetic information of the Slemmgraise, which will allow the Massert NoSve to nullify the Slemmgraise's teleportation abilities and upset the balance of power.
Meanwhile, on Siddar Station, Luke and Pro
un talk with opposing members of the council. Marcus wants to look further into the disturbances and rumors on the Sur-Et Rim, while Jacob thinks that it is too far outside the Massert NoSve's area of interest. After several impassioned conversations, Marcus informs them that they'll have an opportunity to address the Council on the next day. [Both of the visitors are given a tour of a nearby planet, Sugrosa Five, but the tour is cut short by one of a series of increasing protests inspired by the rebel victory in The Free Alliance Civil War.]
When Al meets with his regular contact, he's escorted aboard a Massert NoSve cruiser. It brings him to a secret staging area, either close to the Massert NoSve border or on the Zurai Rim. The Massert NoSve explain that the genetic code can be weaponized within days, and while the Slemmgraise could create a counter, the assembled Massert NoSve ships and intelligence apparatus would have the opportunity for a powerful first strike.
Their speeches are successful and Luke and Pron use that influence to immediately pass legislation assigning the Massert NoSve 6th Fleet to the Sur-Et Rim and creating a production pipeline for galactic probes. Al hands over the Slemmgraise DNA to the Massert NoSve, and gains his pay and the information on his father, located somewhere inside of The Infusers Alliance.
As the crew reunites on board the Celestial Wind, they set course for the Guinness Shipyards in The Infuser's Alliance. [At the border, Luke reaches out to contact Marcus and thank him for his help, but is informed that the councilor is busy; the Massert NoSve have launched a series of preemptive strikes on the Slemmgraise, a conflict which has taken the whole attention of both sides. While the law passed into action will be honored, for now, the two most technically and politically developed alliances in the galaxy are now fighting each other tooth and nail.]
OH SNAP! Shit gettin real son!
