Part one of two for a general update of the galaxy.
Free Alliance
Free Alliance
The Pris have deployed two task forces to
destroy the rebels once and for all. The FA has protested and there have been
shots fired between the two sides. With the datacore destroyed on board the
Malice, the odds are slim they could ever find the rebel base.
Meanwhile, reports of revolution are coming
in from the inhabited moon of Kastulas V. According to a Pris intelligence
report, the common people of the planet have risen up and toppled the ruling
power. The actions are described as peaceful and centered around a rapid growth
of never before seen trees with silver leaves. The reports cease shortly
thereafter.
Pris Alliance
Political hay has been made of the defeat
of Captain Kyress' task force in the Free Alliance. Some leverage accusations
of incompetence against the admirals who appointed her, receiving accusations
of sabotage in return. Tensions run high, and it's rumored that front-line
fleets aligned to each side have fired on each other, even on fronts under
threat of KAMATAS attack.
Further, rumors of The Voice of the Deep's
involvement in the defeat as lead some of the Pris underclasses to believe that
the Voice of the Deep is on their side, in addition to an older mythological
figure known only as The Predator.
Massert NoSve Alliance
On the planet of Sugrosa Five, opposition
groups have sprung up wielding knowledge of the indescretions of the Massert
NoSve leadership. Whenever suppression troops were sent in to suppress them,
they were repelled Arthroai working arm-in-arm with the rebels, wielding never
before seen weapons. As alliances across the galaxy evict Arthroai hives from
their worlds, many of the displaced are coming to the Zurai Rim, meaning
that the Arthroai may coalesce to form a new central hive in the region.
According to friendly, unofficial sources
within the Massert NoSve, the government proper has sent a "maintenance
team" to the Deforest Station to ensure that it's not attacked by the
Slemmgraise during the war.
Marcus, on Siddar Station, said that the probes from
Deforest Station aren't finding any pattern of large scale ship movement or
Monolith activity on the Sur-Et Rim. With that in mind, they're asking for the
remaining 20% of the stealth probes to be retasked towards war with the
Slemmgraise.
The Massert NoSve war with the Slemmgraise
is going well. They've managed to pacify worlds much quicker by strategically
bombing Arthroai hives which would normally slow their progress by insisting on
an orderly transition of power. While the Slemmgraise have recouperated
quickly, they haven't quite overcome the Massert NoSve ability to interfere
with their teleportation abilities. The economic and humanitarian toll is
considerable, as worlds which relied on reigns-old trade route to deliver vital
goods have been severed.
